Turi Beach Resort Staycation, Batam Indonesia

As an expat in Singapore, I came to love what Singaporeans love to do on weekends – STAYCATION!!! A quick getaway to have some R&R that only took me a 35 minute ferry ride.

I head to Batam, Indonesia and stayed at Turi Beach Resort.

The resort offers complimentary transfers to and from the ferry terminal. After passing immigration gate a resort  representative is readily standing by to assist guests to the shuttle service.

THE RECEPTION

Upon reaching the hotel, I was ushered to the front desk and had a breezy check in. The reception area is very spacious. Plenty of space to hang out during peak period of check in/out. A welcome drink of ginger tea is a treat in itself.

THE ROOM

My room was on the 2nd floor with a fantastic view of the sea and the emerald pool below. It is clean and the bed is comfortable. I especially love the rainshower feature in the bathroom. It had very basic vanity items, it would be great though if they have put a little more attention on the toiletries.

RESORT AMENITIES

Tamang Sari Cafe is an all day dining that would cater to hungry guests. Although their ala carte menu is not so extensive, i simply love their line up during buffet breakfast. There will always be something to satisfy your cravings.

The property have two big pools. One is Emerald pool which is right in front of Tirta wing rooms and have a pool bar. The other one is at the opposite end, outside the Yacht Club Bar. The only beach towel counter is beside the Emerald pool. It is quite a walk from other pool so make sure you collect towel first otherwise you will absolutely be walking soaking wet.

A never ending list of recreational activities are offered in this property, I wish I had more time to try them specially their spa! Nevertheless, the view and tranquility of the ocean makes this trip a blissful one.

Tip #1: Great deals for this resort is frequently featured in Groupon (Singapore). Otherwise you may also check directly from the hotel’s website for promotions rates and availability.

Tip #2: Mosquitos are all over the place starting late afternoons, ensure to bring some repellants with you.
