Garden of the Morning Calm – Gapyeong, South Korea

Whenever I reminisce our previous trip to South Korea, the first place that comes to mind is Garden of the Morning Calm. This place is not initially in our itinerary as we thought it’s just garden with the usual flowers and nothing extra ordinary. But since we are already in the area and we have extra time after we explored Nami Island, why not give it a go.

The journey took 60 minutes by bus  from Nami Island. It felt like a long ride as I was so convinced that I would most probably be disappointed — thinking… nah! what else is there in a garden anyway?!

But then when we reached the entrance… oh boy! oh boy! My jaw just dropped with how gorgeous and fascinating the view was! For a second I was mesmerized that I don’t know which way to look first.

The mountain side struck by the afternoon sunshine looks stunning in autumn colors!

I was lost for words on the captivating views of this garden. The photos can’t even do justice!

It is still best appreciated when seen in person, but in the meantime you may enjoy these photos…

This garden is open all year round and have different charm as the season changes.

If given the chance, I would come back in a heartbeat!
